I think everything said was actually very logical. But, think on this, what if you wrote a catchier title? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your website, however what if you added a post title that grabbed folk's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You could look at Yahoo's front page and see how they write article titles to grab people to open the links. You might add a related video or a pic or two to get readers excited about everything've got to say. Just my opinion, it would make your posts a little livelier.
